Saltwater pool
When you think of a saltwater pool, memories of swimming in the sea quickly come to mind. You think of the salty film on your skin, the slight feeling of tension and maybe even burning eyes. But don't worry: none of this will happen in a saltwater pool. The salt concentration there is far too low to cause such effects.
The salt content in the sea is around 3.5 %. The salt content produced by salt electrolysis systems in swimming pool water is 10 times lower in comparison and is around 0.3 - 0.4 %, depending on the system. The water in the pool tastes slightly salty, but compared to seawater it is much milder and does not sting the eyes. Pool water can be compared to tear fluid, which has a similar salt content.
